- AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months. The road leading to this home starts as paved then turns to gravel and is moderately steep.
- There are parking spaces for up to 3 vehicles. There is a shared driveway, so do not block the neighbors from coming and going.

- Minimum age: 25 years.

Fees and Payments
- CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- Repeat guests returning to Banner Elk Valley Overlook can receive a 10% discount.
- Stays of 5 or 6 nights outside of summer, fall, and holiday dates automatically receive 10% off posted rates.

- All BRMR homes offer well-stocked kitchens with utensils needed to cook meals. There is a starter set of paper products: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, some dishwasher detergent tablets, laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. These items are enough for one night or maybe two. Hair dryers are provided. Towels and linens are provided.
